Petra Stump-Linshalm

Clarinettist Petra Stump-Linshalm plays in various ensembles and as a soloist and deals not only with the classical repertoire, but also with experimental, contemporary and improvised music. She performs extensively with her clarinet duo partner, Heinz Peter Linshalm, and the pair are particularly known for playing contemporary music, utilising different members of the clarinet family. In the last few years she has also discovered composing. Her output consists of solo, duo and chamber music, as well as works for larger ensembles.

Since 2012 she has been a senior lecturer for chamber music at the Joseph Haydn Institute for Chamber Music, Early Music and New Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
